Adaptec™ HotConnect™ 8945 Retail Kit
Adaptec™ HotConnect™ Ultra 8945 combines both 1394 and Ultra Wide SCSI
interfaces on a single PCI card. 1394 is the convergence point for consumer
electronics and computers, and this kit lets you capture picture-perfect digital
video from digital camcorders using the 1394 interface. Plug-ins provide
seamless integration with Adobe Premiere. The kit also includes two FireWire
cables, internal and external SCSI cables, and adapters so you can connect to
all 1394 and SCSI devices. It simultaneously connects up to 62 1394 and 15 SCSI
devices on a single card! Supports up to 40MB/second Ultra Wide SCSI and 25
MB/second 1394 transfer rates.
System Requirements:
- Pentium/166 or faster
- 256 cache
- Windows® 95 or Windows NT® (4.0 or later)
- Wide/Ultra Wide/Ultra Narrow SCSI hard disk
- Sufficient hard disk space for video capture (1 minute DV video = 216 MB)
- 32 MB memory
- PCI video display adapter, minimum of 16-bit color
- Video editing software capable of working with .avi files (e.g., Adobe Premiere)
- DV camcorder equipped with 1394 interface (e.g., Sony DCR-VX700, Canon
