This is the
place to receive answers to the most frequently asked questions about doing business with
Computer Video Gear.
Credit Card Transactions - Your credit card is debited only when your order is filled. If part of your order is placed on back
order, you are charged only for the items we ship, plus the full cost of shipping. The items on back
order will be shipped when available and your card debited for only the outstanding items.
Payment by check - After receiving the check, two
to three weeks is allowed for
the check to clear the bank. After this period and before
shipping the order, the bank may be contacted to verify receipt and payment of
the check.
About security -
We are aware that many
people are wary of e-commerce and on-line shopping. Most of these fears center on
the transmittal of personal and financial information over the Internet and the perceived
risk of releasing sensitive data to unscrupulous eyes.
As an on-line
shopper, you should know that the Fair Credit Billing Act provides protection for
consumers who use their credit cards online. This law gives consumers the right to
dispute charges on their monthly bill. In general, consumers are held liable only
for the first $50 of fraudulent charges.
When you shop on-line with
Computer Video Gear, our secure (SSL) server encrypts all
payment information that you transmit to us while using our site. This includes your name,
address and credit card number and expiration date. The encryption process takes all of
the personal information and converts it into code that is securely transmitted over the
Internet.
You also do not need to worry about your e-mail address or other personal
information being given to other companies. We do not sell and/or share our names
with anyone-period.
If you still
do not wish to provide your credit card number to us via the internet, you can still order
your products online and choose "Fax Order" as your payment type during
the "checkout" process. You will then be presented with a form to print,
fill-in your credit card info and then fax to us.

How To Place An Order - Placing an order with
is
very easy. Merely locate the item(s) you wish to purchase from the extensive selection we
offer and follow these simple steps:
1. When the desired product is found, enter the quantity desired in the quantity box
associated with the item and click the Add button .
2. The contents of your shopping basket will be displayed. This information shows the
quantity, description, per unit cost, and total cost of what you are ordering. You may
continue shopping by clicking on "Continue Shopping", or you may go to checkout
by clicking on "Continue to SSL Checkout". Each time additional items are
selected for purchase, by clicking on the associated "Buy" button, this shopping
basket page will appear to show the total contents and price. Items may be removed from
the shopping basket by clicking on "Remove Item".
3. When you are through shopping, click the "Checkout" button on the bottom of a
product's page or on "Continue to SSL Checkout" on the Shopping Selections page
to proceed with your purchase. Your web browser will now indicate that you are connected
to our secure server and show your shopping basket. If you wish to remove any of
these items from your basket, click on "Edit Selections" at the bottom of the
web page. The previous page will be displayed, allowing you to remove any item in the
shopping basket by clicking "Remove Item".
4. Verify that the items and quantities you wish to purchase are on your order. If not
refer to step #3 above.
5. Enter the billing information for your order. Next enter your email address in
the box provided so we can confirm receipt of your order (no credit card or personal
information is sent with your order confirmation). If you wish your order to be
shipped to a different address than the billing address for your credit card, enter that
information in the next set of boxes. (We would also really appreciate your telling
us how you found our web site.)
6. Select the
shipping method for your order and then the type of payment method you wish to use for
your purchase. ( If you do not wish to provide your credit card number to us via the
internet, choose "Fax Order" as your payment type. You will then be
presented with a form to print out.) Click the "Process Order" button.
7. You will
now be presented the final checkout screen. Enter your card number, expiration date,and
type of card. Then enter the EXACT name and address that your credit card statement
is sent to as well as the bank telephone number on the back of your card. To protect
our customers against fraud, our system requires that this information must exactly match
your credit card companies information or your order cannot be processed.
8. Click the
"Complete Order" button and your order is complete. If you place your order by
3:30 p.m. CST Monday - Friday, and the product is in stock, your order will be shipped out
that day. We do not ship or deliver products on Saturday or Sunday. Orders
received after 3:30 p.m. CST will ship the following business day Monday - Friday.

APO and FPO
orders - We accept credit
card orders being shipped and billed to US military APO and FPO zip
code addresses. Orders to these addresses are shipped via priority
mail. Shipping charges include a $5.50 fee for document preparation of
required PS Form 2976-A, Nov 1996- Customs Declaration and Dispatch Note.

International Orders -
We welcome orders for shipment outside the USA. These orders are shipped
via United Parcel Service Worldwide delivery service. Click here

Return Policy - Unopened box items with
the required RMA number can be returned for refund within 15 days from the date
the customer received the merchandise. As soon as the returned item is
received and inspected to verify unopened box status, the customer will be
refunded the item's purchase price less a restocking fee equal to 15% of the
item's purchase price. Shipping and insurance charges are not refunded.
Defective products returned within
30 days of the invoice date with the required RMA
number will be replaced with the identical
item. After 30
days, please contact the manufacturer directly for repair/replacement. No
returns will be accepted without an RMA number.
All
products (unless noted on our web site) are sold with the full manufacturer's warranty.
The warranty period and service varies by manufacturer and product (please refer to the
manufacturer's warranty information included with your product). Extended warranties are
sometimes offered directly through the manufacturer; please contact the manufacturer
if you are interested in purchasing an extended warranty.

How To Receive An RMA Number - To
request an RMA number for a defective product provide the following information
by email to our Returns Department in order to receive a Return
Merchandise Authorization, (RMA) number.
1. Your original order confirmation number
2. Product description or product part number
3. Customer name
4. Reason for the return
5. Customer email address
Please refer to the following instructions when sending your original item back:
1. All items must be in original condition with all packing material, manuals, and
software and registration card(s). We will not accept the return of any
product if the UPC code has been removed from the packaging.
2. Remember to include your packing slip from the original order (be sure to make a copy
for your records).
3. You must write your RMA number on the outside of the package. The RMA number is good
for only one (1) item and must match the product authorized for return.
4. Return your package to the address supplied in the RMA. You must send your package(s) via UPS,
Federal Express, or other delivery service that provides tracking information. Don't send
your package via the U.S. Mail.
5. The customer must prepay all shipping and handling charges.
6. Immediately upon shipping your return, email the return's tracking number(s) to:
returns@computervideogear.com
Note: The original item(s) must be received by our warehouse within 10 business days (two
calendar weeks) of receipt of your return instructions. Any discrepancies could result in
a delay of the replacement.
Once the returns department has received your defective product, we will immediately
ship your replacement (dependent on stock availability) to the same address as the
original order.

Defective Item - Anytime after the first 30 days
from our invoice date, all returns and replacements must be handled directly with the
manufacturer. Manufacturer's warranties vary on each product. Extended warranties are
sometimes available directly from select manufacturers. Manufacturer information is
subject to change without notice.

Shipping - We will ship your product to
you by UPS. We ship to street addresses in the U.S. only, sorry we cannot ship to
P.O. boxes. You have the option of UPS next day, second day, or economy (ground) shipping.
Shipping charges are automatically calculated for you when placing an order. For any
shipment that is refused, you will automatically be charged $25.00.
Same Day
Shipping: If you place your order by 3:30 p.m. CST Mon - Fri, and the product is in stock,
your order will be shipped that day. Note: We cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes. Shipments are
subject to stock availability. Shipping costs vary depending upon the area to which the
order is being shipped.

- Holiday exceptions include: New Years Day (plus one
business day before or after*); Birthday of Martin Luther King,
Jr.; Washington's Birthday
(President's Day); Good
Friday; Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Columbus Day; Veterans Day; Thanksgiving
(plus the Friday after); and Christmas (plus one business
day before or after*).
*Holidays that fall on Saturday are usually scheduled the
Friday before and holidays that fall on Sunday are usually scheduled the Monday after.
